The Ulternate Ending of Flash is Revealed

The Flash went through many endings before settling on the one it did, but was its big cameo worth it over a more relative finale

The Flash had a well documented traumatic journey to screen. Having being delayed over a year from its original release date, become the subject of controversy for star Ezra Miller’s very public personal issues and been caught up in the upheaval of the DCEU’s demise, the film is now seemingly not taking off at the box office as originally hoped. To add to its woes, audiences have now been debating the numerous endings that the movie could have had, and are divided over the ending that has made it into theatres compared to others that could have been.

During the events of The Flash, Barry Allen becomes responsible for breaking and seemingly correcting the multiverse. However in the closing moments of the movie, it turns out that he didn’t quite put things right when he meets up with Bruce Wayne, only to find that Bruce Wayne comes in the guise of George Clooney. Having spent a number of interviews denying any involvement in the movie, Clooney’s appearance is a fun and telling moment, but it was not originally part of the plan for The Flash’s finale.

Way back when The Flash was originally written, James Gunn’s takeover of the franchise was not even a possibility. For that reason, the original ending of the move would still have seen Barry failing to correct all of his mistakes, and that would have led to the final scene featuring Michael Keaton’s version of Bruce Wayne along with Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. This fit with the original studio plan that would have seen Keaton also playing Batman in Batgirl and having a cameo in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom among other potential projects.

When the script was reworked later, a new ending was put in place that would have seen Keaton’s Batman’s and Calle’s Supergirl being joined by Henry Cavill’s Superman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman. This ending was reportedly not shot, and once James Gunn and Peter Saffron began changing up the franchise’s future, the idea of Cavill and Gadot appearing in the movie’s ending are said to have been blocked.

Summary & Review of Final Destination: Bloodlines

Final Destination: Bloodlines is a late but surprisingly lively return to a franchise that has been dormant since Final Destination 5 in 2011. Despite the long gap and an evolving horror landscape, Bloodlines reestablishes itself with a bang — literally and tonally — leaning harder into comedy than any previous installment in the series while still delivering the brutal, elaborate death sequences that fans expect. Opening & Tone: The film opens with a dazzling extended prologue set in the 1960s, following a couple's ill-fated night atop the “Sky View” (think Space Needle). This sequence is meticulously crafted with tongue-in-cheek suspense, foreshadowing, and spectacularly over-the-top deaths. Co-directors Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky set the tone early: this is going to be stylish, darkly comedic, and gleefully gory. Comedy-Horror Fusion: What sets Bloodlines apart is how much it embraces horror comedy , evoking filmmakers like Sam Raimi ( Drag Me to Hell , Evil ...

Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning: A Grand, Flawed, but Still Thrilling Finale

For nearly 30 years, Mission: Impossible has been the gold standard for cinematic stunts and adrenaline-pumping action sequences. And with The Final Reckoning , the franchise’s eighth installment, it’s clear that Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie are still determined to raise the bar—and sometimes, shake the ground underneath it. Though its title hints at a grand finale, and its tone swings for high-stakes drama, The Final Reckoning isn’t so much a swan song as it is a culmination—a culmination of 30 years of impossible missions, globe-trotting intrigue, death-defying stunts, and one man’s relentless pursuit of doing the right thing, no matter the cost. A Darker, More Serious IMF Mission Let’s get this out of the way: The Final Reckoning is more sober and self-serious than previous entries. It leans heavily into melodrama, with dialogue and performances that often feel like they’re carrying the literal weight of the world. The film opens with a grim, lo-fi mi...
